Winning proposals is the culmination of a collaborative effort, and effective proposal teams include multiple technical and functional roles. But if your business is small or just starting out, it may only be you (or a shared, executive responsibility). So how can you grow your proposals effort from a one-man show to a dedicated in-house proposal function? During the ProposalExecs Roundtable, we will discuss the process of starting a new proposal center within a small business or even within a business unit of a larger business.

  • Recognizing the personnel needs that correspond to those objectives

About Our Moderator
Ethan Meurlin is a Vice President at Octo Consulting Group where he leads all Business Development Operations and Marketing. Octo is a mid-sized company that focuses 100% on helping the US Federal Government modernize its legacy IT infrastructure. During his almost five years at Octo, the company has set sales records each year (from $65M in 2014 to more than $140M in 2017) and has grown from 95 employees to more than 325.

Over more than 20 years or professional experience, Ethan has developed an expertise in building and improving proposal centers. Over the last decade he has built two Proposal Operations Centers from the ground up at small companies, and overhauled processes for a large company. Prior to joining Octo, Ethan held leadership positions at companies such as Keane Federal Systems, Robbins-Gioia, and MetroStar Systems.
